Payson Regional Medical
Center (PRMC) includes 44 licensed beds and a 24-hour
emergency, Home Health and trauma center. PRMC is a
full-service general acute care hospital. The hospital
serves all of Northern Gila Country as an advanced
life support base station and provides medical consultation
by phone or radio to 12 medical providers in the Payson
and surrounding area.

The Town of Payson is
located in Arizona's famous Rim Country. The Rim is
named after one of Arizona's two most dominant landforms,
the Mogollon Rim (the other landform is the Grand Canyon)
and rises to a height of 7,500 feet a few miles north
of Payson. In addition to Payson at 5,000 feet, the
Rim Country includes the progressively higher communities
of Star Valley, Pine, Strawberry, and Christopher Creek.
The area is a paradise for hikers, hunters, campers,
mountain bikers and horseback riders.
