Immediate Opportunity for Board Certified
subspecialists to join a growing practice.
A private
practice located in Detroit (directly attached to St.
John Hospital & Medical Center, a 607-bed full
service facility) and in Macomb is seeking a BC Pediatric
Cardiologist and Neurologist. St. John Hospital provides
comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for children
birth to age 21 years. The Pediatric medical staff
includes a complete network of experts in more than
40 Pediatric Subspecialties as well as more than 90
pediatricians. Children with a wide variety of illnesses
and injuries are cared for in the 52-bed inpatient
Pediatric Unit, 35-bed Neonatal and Pediatric ICU.
In FY 2007 the Cardiology practice saw 1,240 outpatients
and 418 inpatient visits. The Neurology practice saw
1,108 outpatients and 346 inpatient visits. Hospital
rounding is shared on a rotational office coverage
basis. Billing is done onsite. Payor mix: 29% Blues,
25% Medicaid, 7% HAP, and 39% other.
This is
an employed full time position offering a competitive
salary and benefits. Candidates must be graduates of
an accredited medical school and successful completion
of training in a Pediatric residency program. Must
also meet the requirements for medical licensure to
practice in the State of Michigan.
