IMMEDIATE opportunity for a Maternal Fetal
Medicine (MFM) physician.
St. John Hospital and Medical Center, a 607-bed regional referral teaching hospital located in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to join their well-established Obstetrics & Gynecology Department. There are four Perinatologists on staff, each practitioner has a minimum of 10 years experience in sub-specialty, and call is shared equally. Outpatient visits include routine and high-risk prenatal diagnostics and obstetrical needs. On a weekly basis, there are approximately 174 Ob/Gyn, 192 Generalists, and 82 MFM visits, along with 178 ultrasounds and 72 non-stress tests performed. The hospital has an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency-training program. Candidates must be fellowship trained in MFM (board eligible or certified), and meet requirements for medical licensure to practice in the State of Michigan. This is an employed position with the hospital, involves clinical and teaching responsibilities, and offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits. St. John Health, the fourth largest health system in Southeastern Michigan, has an immediate opportunity for a BE/BC Chief of Obstetrics - Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician. This is an employed position with Providence Hospital and Medical Center in Southfield, Michigan; a 459-bed community and teaching hospital in a suburb bordering Detroit. The current division consists of two board certified MFM physicians employed by the hospital. Each physician spends 4 1/2 days per week in the office or doing ultrasounds. The MFM division provides consultations and high-risk OB care, as well as prenatal diagnosis, genetic counseling and sonography. Our state-of-the-art ultrasound unit is AIUM accredited and consists of 4 sites with a volume of 11,000 - 15,000 scans per year. Teleradiology services and 3/4 D are available. The position involves 80% clinical, 10% academics, and 10% administrative time. Providence Hospital has an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology resident program. The MFM division provides supervision, as well as training, to it's medical students and residents. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited medical school and must have successfully completed training in an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program, as well as in an accredited Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program. Candidates must also meet the requirements for medical licensure to practice in the State of Michigan. Previous experience and/or interest in an administrative role and teaching is a plus.
