Description:
Responsible for coordinating, supporting and
leading Improvement and Innovation activities and identifying
ongoing data and information system needs as part of
Geisinger's Annual Quality Agenda.
Performs all duties in a manner that promotes a team concept and reflects the goal of providing seamless support for patients. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Partners with interdisciplinary teams in the establishment and implementation of a quality improvement process that improves patient access and processes of care, reduces variation and achieves maximum quality. Assists in the planning and development of quality improvement educational content and conducts training sessions as part of Geisinger Quality Institute. Directly accountable to the Director, Performance Innovation. Demonstrates knowledge of Performance Improvement principles, processes, and methods required. Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with other Healthcare professionals required. Demonstrates ability to effectively lead / facilitate multidisciplinary cross functional teams to achieve productive results required. Demonstrates ability to develop educational/instructional content and conduct training sessions. Demonstrates ability to function at a high level of self-direction. Demonstrates knowledge of clinical areas and medical terminology. Masters Degree in quality improvement, public health, healthcare administration, business or related area required ORRN with current Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility required. Graduate from an approved school of nursing required. BSN required. Minimum of three to five years experience in healthcare environment required. Minimum two years experience in performance improvement activities and quality proposals required. Minimum two years project management experience with proven ability to develop effective programs and deliver effective solutions preferred.
