Full Scope Family Medicine - ThedaCare
ThedaCare, an integrated health system, located in Northeastern Wisconsin, seeks a BC/BE Family Practice physician to practice primary care medicine and Obstetrics for it's Waupaca location. ThedaCare is a nationally recognized healthcare system that excels in quality outcomes and is the employer of choice in the area for both physicians and staff. Physicians at ThedaCare enjoy a collegial atmosphere, supportive of both primary care physicians and specialists. This position will partner with a dedicated and highly qualified medical staff including mid-level providers. ThedaCare Physicians - Waupaca is comprised of ten primary care providers and two general surgeons. The practice is a full-scope family medicine practice with eight of the physicians doing obstetrics. In addition to deliveries, the group would welcome a physician who also is trained or willing to be trained to do C-sections. Members of the group perform vasectomies, colposcopies, sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies, TA's cryo, leeps, joint injections, lesion removal, suturing and casting. OFFICE: - Work in a state-of-the-art, 43,000 square-foot clinic completed in 2008 - Electronic Medical Record - Each physician has three exam rooms, dedicated MA, as well as a shared pool of triage nurses, receptionists, coders, transcriptionists, ancillary techs and business office staff. - Ancillary services include full service lab, x-ray, and mammography. CALL: Call is 1:12 and OB call is 1:6. The physicians practice at Riverside Medical Center. The 25-bed critical access community hospital recently completed a $9.2 million dollar expansion and renovation. State of the art Emergency Department, newly remolded, averages 12,000 visits per year. Services include Surgery, OB,Med/Surg, special care unit, rehab and ancillary services. 4 major trauma rooms, 4 minor exam rooms. Portable CT, ultrasound and fluoroscopy. 24 hour radiology coverage Waupaca, Wisconsin is located in east central Wisconsin at the junction of U.S. Hwy. 10 and State Hwys. 22, 49 and 54. We are: 127 miles (2-1/2 hours) northwest of Milwaukee 90 miles (2 hours) north of Madison 210 miles(3-1/2 hours) northwest of Chicago 240 miles (4 hours) east of Minneapolis/St. Paul 30 minutes east of I-39 35 minutes west of Hwy. 41 (The Fox Cities; Appleton, Neenah, Menasha - population area of 220,000) Community Makeup: The city's 2003 population was estimated at 5,794, however much of the area's population lives outside the city limits in surrounding townships. This is partially due to the beauty of the surrounding countryside, but also because the popular Waupaca Chain of Lakes lies in the Towns of Farmington and Dayton.
