The Regional Director of Clinical Services for EmCare identifies the contract's and EmCare's need to develop, coordinate, implement and support operational policies and practices. Support is concentrated on providing consultation by forming a partnership with the contracts by facilitating effective communication. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conducts Operational Assessments, provides follow-up support and leads teams as needed. 2. Assists with the development of strategies to improve clinical operations. 3. Assists hospitals with identification and implementation of best practices. 4. Plans and implements the Customer Care Program for clients upon request along with the facilitation or participation on Customer Service Team development as appropriate. 5. Administers and facilitates company wide customer service programs 6. Facilitates and promotes communications among client hospitals EDNMs, physicians, mid-level providers and EmCare. 7. Functions as a clinical resource to EDNMs and Site Medical Directors (SMDs) for state, local and other initiatives such as EMTALA, HIPAA, Medicare, etc. 8. Assesses client's readiness for The Joint Commission Survey and provides assistance with preparation. 9. Serves as a nursing resource to the EDNMs. 10. Provides opportunity for EDNMs to network and collaborate with hospitals in the region as well as national EmCare contracts. Encourages professional growth. 11. Participates in the planning and hosting of annual meetings for EDNMs. 12. Provides support to Medical Staff regarding Quality Improvement Initiatives. 13. Provides consultation and facilitation to Clients on Process Management Methodologies (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma, PDCA) 14. Provides Data Analysis support to internal and external customers ( i.e. Arrival Analysis, Admission Studies, Time and Capacity Studies) Job Requirements What are the qualifications needed? MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred. * Experience in Quality Management within Business and/or healthcare verticals. * Experience in data management and statistical analysis using tools to demonstrate objective improvement. * Experience with project management and facilitating teams is required * Excellent oral and written presentation skills * Emergency Department Leadership Experience at the Director Level or above. * Experienced Emergency Nurse * Demonstrated chart and process review, analysis, and solution development, implementation and assessment experience. * Strong customer service focus and positive team-oriented, professional approach * Possess ability to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team, hospital administration and the EmCare team. * Proficiency in MS Office Suite required, experience in Visio, and Project preferred * Ability to travel 50%- 75% of work time.
