Great Opportunity: • Assists the licensed pharmacist in carrying out of their professional duties and objectives • Providing non-judgmental technical and clerical services concerned with the activities of the Pharmacy Department • Different levels within this job category will be assigned to each employee upon completion of the available Certification Course and department training • Duties and responsibilities will be assigned commensurately to the level achieved • High school graduate or equivalent • Ability to use 10 key and type 30 wpm, filing and invoice preparation. • Ability to pass a prepared spelling and mathematical quiz, relating to the area of Pharmacy • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with the other pharmacy staff, hospital personnel, medical staff, patients and visitors. • Progressive and able to be current with modifications in policies and procedure operations and secretarial responsibilities. • Completion of Certification Course. • CPR Certified. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Pushing up to 150 lbs. on cart. Ability to reach and stretch above and below shoulder level. Ability to be on feet most of workday and ambulate throughout hospital campus. • Prefer one or more years previous hospital and/or clinical pharmacy experience. • Prefer one or more years previous clerical and/or computer experience. • Bilingual preferred.
