Description: Staff Nurse positions available. New grads welcome.
Performs general nursing skills and provide patient care to a number of areas. These areas include L&D, ER, ICU, Med/Surg, Psych, CDU, Maternal Child, OB/GYN and Peds.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for supervising and providing direct patient care within an assigned unit for his/her shift, by performing all of the following duties:

Essential Job Duties:

1. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.


EDUCATION:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing education and be registered in the State of Mississippi. Clinical instruction or practice in psychiatric treatment desirable. Demonstrable healthy behaviorism.

EXPERIENCE:

One year previous psychiatric experience preferred or two years of medical-surgical experience.
