Looking for a FULL TIME Physician in the
Paradise of Wailuku, Maui, HI.
"Maui No Ka Oi."
(Maui is the best!) You can't get much better than
this Hawaiian Island. What's more, you can drive
among jungles and waterfalls on the scenic Hana Highway,
windsurf with the pros at Hookipa Beach or enjoy
a drink at Lahaina's historic taverns. The options
are dizzying and endless.
Maui Memorial Hospital
is a 224-bed facility with an annual ED patient volume
of 35,000 visits. The ED has an extensive call list,
supportive nursing staff, in-house MRI, CT, Cardiac
Cath Lab and tele-radiology. This facility is the
only hospital on the island; therefore, the ED sees
a wide variety of injuries and illnesses. 36 hours
of physician coverage per day (8, 9 & 10 hr shifts
with no MLP's).
Qualifications are BC Emergency
Medicine with at least three years of full time ED
experience. EmCare offers an 'A' rated malpractice
insurance program with no tail obligation upon departure.
This is an Independent Contractor facility with an
excellent incentive based compensation plan. Known
as "the best ED job in Hawaii", openings are rare
and this one is due to the 6200 sq ft expansion and
renovation of the ED facility.
