Description Position Summary: Assists the quality initiative by developing, coordinating, and supporting the quality activities of data collection and analysis, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement education. Demonstrates Competency in the following areas: 1. Completes concurrent medical record review to observe daily practices of hospital staff, system functions, and patient outcomes. 2. Works independently to oversee regulatory compliance with system processes. 3. Works with the Director of Quality Improvement to set priorities for performance improvement. 4. Obtains a working knowledge of specific regulatory requirements and is a resource to others on compliance to regulatory standards. Qualifications Education/Licensure/Certification: • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred. May substitute work experience for degree. • Current Colorado State Registered Nurse Licensure. • CPHQ desirable Experience: • Medical records, data analysis, business processes, facilitation experience, design, and development of performance measurement. Prefer minimum 2 years experience in Quality Management with current knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards. Skills Medical knowledge preferred. Statistical process control basics, computer literate and understanding of Quality Management processes. Computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point required.
