Internal Auditor
Poudre Valley Health System

Plan and execute internal financial and operational audits of patient care units and other areas (according to professional auditing standards) to determine effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with health system policies as well as state and federal regulations.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area such as Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Accounting/Auditing certificate preferred. 0-3 years of healthcare audit or related experience. Should possess an understanding of general audit procedures and internal controls.

Proficiency with a personal computer and typical office software such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Knowledge of medical terminology procedures. Ability to interpret medical records in relation to billing. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all ancillary departments throughout the hospital.
