ACADEMIC POSITIONS IN SMALL BOWEL DISEASE
AND NUTRITION
The Section of Gastroenterology/Hepatology/Nutrition at the University of Chicago wishes to invite applications for positions in Clinical and Translational Small Bowel Disease and Nutrition. Individuals with an interest or expertise in small bowel disease and nutrition are encouraged to apply. The preferred candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD with training in clinical and/or laboratory based research. They should have a strong commitment toward interdisciplinary research to interact with the Committee on Molecular Metabolism and Nutrition and the Hospital Nutrition Support Service. Candidates will also have the opportunity to collaborate in Departmental initiatives including a recently awarded NIH Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) and an established department-wide translational research initiative which serves to integrate DNA, serum and plasma accrual efforts in both inpatient and outpatient venues. Excellent teaching skills are also required. Candidates must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology and must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois. Academic rank and salary commensurate with background and experience.
