The Senior Product Manager (CareDiscovery) manages assigned solution or solution sets in various stages and throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborates with marketing, the design and usability team, the technology and content development teams, and quality assurance to ensure the solution(s) delivered to market meet the requirements and expectations established by the market. May direct and manage the efforts of other product managers. • Understands clinical performance improvement, business intelligence technology, comparative data, and the competitive market; uses that knowledge to deliver product(s) that meet customer needs. • Contributes to the development of business cases addressing market opportunities; collaborates with technical and content teams to document functional and technical specifications based on business cases; prioritizes development requirements. Works with design and usability team to develop prototypes, use case/scenarios, ensure optimal customer experience. • Monitors the solution development progress; iterates solution requirements with technology, content, and quality assurance to ensure customer needs, schedule, and budgets are met. Responsible for final user acceptance testing of all product releases. Coordinates development plans and schedules with portfolio management and the PMO. • Coordinates internal operational groups that support assigned products: including Operations, HDF, Content, Support, Training, Implementation and Client Services. • Collaborates with marketing and sales on go-to-market plans. Works with marketing to develop product collateral and customer communications. Ensures that the sales and client services teams have product knowledge as well as supporting information required to generate new business and maintain on-going client relationships. • Monitors performance of solutions in the market based on customer and sales response. • Identifies enhancements and works through the Marketing & Innovation process to secure investment. • May direct work of other product managers; hires, develops, motivates, and manages the performance of those product managers. Requirements: • Demonstrates a solid understanding of business concepts, specifically product management, marketing, and financial concepts. • Able to effectively and persuasively communicate at all levels of the Thomson Reuters organization as well as client organizations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence others and resolve conflict. • Able to build, develop, mentor and retain results-oriented staff. • Displays strong organizational and project management skills. • Demonstrated ability to drive and deliver results. • Strong understanding of technology and its use in the healthcare market; understanding of clinical performance improvement processes and the role of comparative data analysis. • Able to travel to customer and prospect sites, conferences and other Thomson Reuters office locations. Required Education and/or Experience • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Clinical degree desirable. • Five to seven years of product management or related experience; preferably in a healthcare- or technology-related industry. • Healthcare data analysis skill required; experience working in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
