The Midwife Center for Birth and Women's Health seeks a full-time CNM to join four other CNM's in our non-profit birth center. Enjoy the independence of out-of-hospital practice in our beautiful AABC-accredited birth center with the convenience of hospital admission privileges and excellent MD consultants.

The Midwife Center has a 26-year history of providing birthing options for families in Pittsburgh. The midwives have been honored with the ACNM 'With Women for a Lifetime' Gold Commendation and by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as among the 'Dozen who make a Difference' for healthcare in Pittsburgh. Our clientele is diverse and passionate about midwifery care.

We are seeking a midwife with excellent clinical skills and preferably out-of-hospital experience. In addition to pregnancy and birthing care the position includes a large well-woman practice (including a walk-in clinic for the uninsured) and teaching nursing, midwifery and medical students and family practice residents. We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and has a sense of humor. Functional Spanish would be a plus.

Salary range $55,000-$65,000. The position has excellent benefits including 3-weeks paid vacation, 1-week paid continuing education time, excellent, fully-paid individual health insurance, dental insurance, short and long-term disability insurance and occurrence malpractice insurance. The schedule is approximately two office days and 48 hours first call per week. Pittsburgh is a beautiful city with a rich cultural like, low cost of living and easy access to outdoor recreation.
