Description:

Cedars Sinai OR nurses coordinate care for patients undergoing general or awake craniotomy, bariatric surgery, cardiothoracic, spine, and orthopedic trauma. We are a level one trauma center with 26 operating rooms. We are also a Multi-Organ Transplant Center and OR Nurses can be part of specialty team involving living donor liver transplant, kidney-pancreas and heart-lung transplant. We have a collaborative team involving Specialty Technologists such as Anesthesia, Endoscopic, Orthopedic, Spine, and Image Guided Systems, as well as Advance Practice Nurses. Cedars-Sinai is a center for education and we are proud of our successful ongoing Perioperative and Perianesthesia Training Programs. Requirements/Experience:
CA RN License. Certification of field of practice preferred (if appropriate). Current BLS. Minimum of 3 years experience in specialty area preferred. Experience with acute inpatient and outpatient setting. Experience with hospital based freestanding outpatient centers preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area. Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice. Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of health care technology within specialty area. Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues. Full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Has maintained satisfactory Clinical Nurse III status for a minimum of six (6) months. Meets clinical criteria and protocol for Clinical Nurse IV. BSN preferred.
