B.E. Smith would like to inform you of an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Oncology within a client hospital in Portland, Maine. An excellent salary, commensurate with background and experience, is available.

POSITION
•Reports to a Vice President of Operations and oversees approximately 75 FTEs with five direct reports
•Responsible for working closely with the medical director and planning/directing activities within radiation therapy, radiation physics, oncology information services, oncology administration, the outpatient IV treatment room, breast care center, and the thoracic oncology center. Also collaborates with the nursing director of an inpatient oncology unit, in addition to serving as a liaison for other departments and organizations.
•Qualified Candidates will be master's prepared healthcare leaders with a background in a clinical field and have excellent clinical knowledge, delegation skills, who are assertive, forward-thinking and understand a multidisciplinary oncology setting.
•Ideal candidates will be autonomous, effective communicators, who are strong collaborators with physicians, senior administration, and other professional colleagues.
