Nipawin (www.nipawin.com) is gaining a reputation as one of Saskatchewan's newest resort area hot-spots. This community of just over 5100 people has all the services and facilities of larger centers as well as small-town lakeside charm. It is situated on the river section of Tobin Lake, 2 km downstream from Codette Lake. This gives Nipawin a unique position of having both the comforts and services of a larger center with the outdoor experiences of Saskatchewan's near north. Nipawin's modern 33 bed hospital provides acute care in a growing multicultural community of 5,100 with a catchment area of 12,000. Services include emergency, obstetrics, surgery, radiology and pathology).

Thirty minutes down the road is the town of Carrot River (www.town.carrotriver.sk.ca), located in the Rural Municipality of Moose Range #486, creating a community of 2,400 residents. Carrot River features continuous economic growth, typical of an emerging agricultural/industry community. Carrot River boasts small town hospitality. The Pasquia Hills forest reserve is thirty miles east of Town and features hundreds of miles of trail systems for both winter and summer use. Pasquia Regional Park is home to one of the most challenging nine-hole golf courses in Saskatchewan. Grass greens and irrigated fairways provide a lush setting for both the experienced and novice golfer. Carrot River has a Health Centre and a 35 bed Special Care Home.

The Town of Porcupine Plain (www.porcupineplain.com) - population 987 - is located in the Northeast Parkland adjacent to Greenwater Lake Provincial Park. Rich agricultural land, rolling hills, mixed forest and numerous lakes which make this one of the most beautiful areas in the Province. The area immediately surrounding Porcupine Plain is noted for some of the best moose, elk and white tail deer hunting that you can find anywhere, while the migratory and upland game population provides excellent hunting opportunities. Greenwater, Marean and Steiestol Lakes located nearby provide exceptional walleye, northern pike and rainbow trout fishing. Porcupine Plain has a twelve bed hospital as well as a 36 bed special care home.

*Must be eligible for licensure to practice in Saskatchewan. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
