Job Benefits: We offer a very competitive remuneration, relocation and benefits Vacancy #: 1241 Health Region: Saskatchewan Cancer Agency Facility: Allan Blair Cancer Centre & Saskatoon Cancer Centre Job Description: The seven medical oncologists in each Department work with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, radiation therapists and oncologists, pediatric oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, surgeons, pharmacists, psychosocial oncologists, volunteers and a lay advisory group and palliative care teams to provide safe, patient-centered care. Cancer care is extended to surrounding communities by our medical oncologists, nurses and pharmacists through our Community Oncology Program. Participation in clinical trials in collaboration with NCCTG, NCIC, COG and RTOG is a major focus of activity for our oncologists in addition to teaching medical students and postgraduate residents enrolled at the College of Medicine of the University of Saskatchewan. Medical oncologists receive an academic appointment in the Division of Oncology, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan and privileges in the Department of Cancer Services at the Pasqua Hospital of the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region and the Royal University Hospital of the Saskatoon Health Region. Job Qualifications: Successful applicants will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Other Comments Preference will be given to applicants who are certified in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, but applicants with equivalent foreign qualifications will be considered. In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, preference will be give to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
