Penn State Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine is a 501-bed Magnet organization containing the Penn State Children's Hospital. The Children's Hospital brings the benefits of research and education to care for over 5,500 patients annually with 120 beds in pediatrics, pediatrics ICU, intermediate care, and level III-C neonatal ICU. We are central Pennsylvania's only academic medical center and are looked to as a resource for the most complex adult and pediatric cases. Our future is exciting with the approval for a four-story free-standing Children's Hospital to begin construction in the summer of 2009 after the completion of the five-story Penn State Cancer Center in March 2009. PA RN license will be required.
