Description: The Churchill Regional Health Authority is currently accepting resumes for a casual Pharmacy Technician Position for the Churchill Regional Health Authority.
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supportive duties related to the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician program from a recognized College or University
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Clinical and Retail) required
• Familiar with cash registers and interact
• Familiar with office systems and computer knowledge
• Demonstrates the ability to work cooperatively with the public and staff as a team member
• Demonstrates a calm and confident manner during emergency and/or difficult situations
• Maintains confidentiality with all information entrusted to the position
• Receives prescriptions or requisitions from customers or CHRA staff
• Review and prepare prescriptions for computer process
• Enter prescriptions into computer, maintaining patient profiles and generating labels
• Deliver final product after checking by Pharmacist
• Check and replenishes Ward and Emergency stock rooms
• Responsible for ensuring patient safety is always maintain
• Other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist
• Displays a polite, helpful and courteous manner when communicating with patients/residents,
families, the general public and other staff member/consultants

This position will be subject to a Child Abuse registry and Criminal Records check

SALARY: Salary depending on qualifications and experience
