Job Details: Coding Supervisor

Description: Coding Supervisor / Medical Records /Full Time / Management
Control, monitor, audit and train the coding/abstracting staff to ensure the timely and accurate coding/abstracting of records for reimbursement, research, and statistics. Ensure compliance to policies/procedures of hospital and outside regulatory agencies.

Qualifications Required: Associates Degree in Health Information Technology; Bachelor's degree preferred. Must be accredited as a Registered Health Information Technician (R.H.I.T.) by the American Health Information Management Association through successful completion of national examination. Must maintain R.H.I.T. status through continuing education credits. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required. Five years of coding experience within an acute care hospital setting is required.
