Pediatric Registered Nurse
CHOC is seeking motivated and compassion Pediatric Clinical Nurses for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the delivery of family-centered patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with patient/family and other professional disciplines to create a partnership to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of mutually desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization's vision and mission. Promotes excellence in nursing care.

• Graduate of a Registered Nursing school.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• Current recognition in infant, child and adult BLS-C CPR and NRP and obstructed airway.
• Minimum of one year of Pediatric nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Knowledge of and ability to provide appropriate patient care depending upon age appropriateness and cultural and spiritual needs
• Excellent communication and customer satisfaction skills

RN Fellowship program is a 9 week program designed to give the experienced pediatric nurse the knowledge and skills needed to successfully transition into the critical care environment. Program is offered several times throughout the year.
