Responsibilities 1. RN II: 2. Implements and documents the Nursing Process for age specific patient care delivery to include the complex patient/family. May function as Provider or RN-M based upon completion of competencies. 3. Participates in performance improvement/research activities. Participates in activities that promote improvement of patient care/patient satisfaction. Expands/shares knowledge of nursing practice. 4. Functions as an active team member and demonstrates leadership qualities. Has met competencies for RN Provider and when appropriate has met competencies for RN-M within PCT care model. 5. Demonstrates and enhances professional growth and development, maintains and enhances clinical competency. Remains current in nursing practices. RN III: 6. Implements and documents the Nursing Process for age specific, complex patient/family care delivery. Meets competencies of RN-M; Provides oversight to more novice nurses on complex and unstable patients assigned to PCT team. 7. Develops and implements performance improvement activities in response to identified needs and goals of the department. 8. Functions as a clinical resource and functions as a leader. Has met competencies for RN-M role within PCT care model and functions in role when assigned. 9. Demonstrates professional growth and development by expanding their knowledge base, implementing staff and patient focussed programs/projects to meet identified needs/goals. RN IV: 10. Demonstrates advanced clinical practice expertise, implements/documents the nursing process for age specific, complex patient/family care delivery, dept/specialty network clinical resource expert. 11. Develops and implements performance improvement/quality improvement/research activities in response to identified needs/goals of the department, specialty and/or network. 12. Functions as a role model for all staff throughout the SETON Network. 13. Demonstrates professional growth and development. Minimum Qualifications 'RN: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current registered nurse license to practice in the state of Texas. The Registered Nurse (RN), Weekend is required to work 24 hours every weekend with the exception of one weekend per quarter or four per year. RN III: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. Annually acquires thirty (30) contact hours of education, twenty (20) of which is nursing related OR has an acceptable (for the Specialty) National Certification. Temporary license or permanent license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. (National certification, see education above). Validation of achievement of Level Three performance competencies and requirements. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse III, Weekend is required to work 24 hours every weekend with the exception of one weekend per quarter or four per year. RN IV: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. Annually acquires forty contact hours of education, thirty of which is nursing related OR has a National Certification acceptable for the Specialty. Temporary license or permanent license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. (National certification, see education above). Validation of achievement of Level Four performance competencies and requirements of the position. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse.
