Job Description:

The Staff Nurse II is a registered nurse with the advanced knowledge and skills fundamental to perform nursing duties and exhibit behaviors consistent with the standards of nursing practice. The Staff Nurse II embodies the behaviors associated with the Leadership, Art and Science of Nursing (identified in Duties and Responsibilities) at the Proficient Level. The Staff Nurse II practices Relationship Centered Care in concert with The Methodist Hospital values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence and the ServicePride standards. Different specialties may require additional experience.


Experience:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BSN preferred.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum three to five years experience required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

Current license to practice as an RN in the State of Texas.
Basic CPR.
Specialty certification preferred or with plan to pursue within one year.


SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must be able to write and speak effectively in English.
