Job Details: Pediatric Intensivist (Critical Care)

Lifestyles: Four Seasons – Hey. You understand the unmatched beauty of each of the 4 seasons. Here, it's yours.
Description: New, state-of-the-art 9-bed PICU - Resident support 24/7 - Lifestyle Practice
Are you seeking an opportunity to work with a world-class interdisciplinary team of medical professionals? Do you have interest in teaching and staying current in all aspects of the field through post-graduate interaction? Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan seeks a Pediatric Intensivist to join a stable and expanding group of 2. Successful applicants must have completed a pediatric critical care fellowship. Located in Detroit's northern suburbs, Beaumont Hospital admits more patients than any hospital in the US. In 2004, a new, state-of-the-art, 9-bed PICU opened. With a fully accredited residency training program and 24/7 pediatric coverage of the PICU, this opportunity offers you an unparalleled quality of life. With complete medical and pediatric surgical subspecialty support including pediatric surgery, pediatric ENT, pediatric urology, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric radiologists, neuroradiologists and interventional radiologists, the hospital is a valuable community resource for your patients and their families. You will enjoy a faculty appointment (which will change to The Oakland University William Beaumont Medical School in 2010 when they admit the first class), a collegial working environment and support from an excellent nursing staff.
The northern suburbs of Detroit are beautiful and safe, family-oriented communities with excellent schools, both public and private. Students in the Royal Oak Neighborhood Schools consistently score well in the MEAP, and the high school students' ACT score composites are higher than both the state and national averages. Choose to live in Royal Oak, a city that feels like a town, full of front porches, sidewalk cafes, Peewee hockey, nature walks and parades right out of a Norman Rockwell painting; Bloomfield Hills, which consistently ranks as one of the Top 5 wealthiest cities in the US; Troy, the safest city in Michigan and among the Top 10 safest cities in the Nation; or Birmingham, which has a lively, pedestrian-friendly downtown offering one of the Midwest's premiere shopping districts.

And within just 30-45 minutes you can enjoy all Detroit has to offer...Ford Field (Detroit Lions
new home), Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers new stadium), a remodeled Renaissance Center and a renewed Detroit Science Center. Some of the legendary favorites include The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Henry Ford Museum, Eastern Market and Hart Plaza summer festivals.
