Opportunity to join three other OB/Gyn's, a Nurse Midwife, and Nurse Practitioner who are committed to quality, compassionate care in a collegial, cooperative working environment. The position is full-time with a four days work week plus call (1:4). ADDITIONAL PRACTICE DETAILS PeaceHealth Medical Group (PHMG) is an 90-member multi-specialty group and a member of PeaceHealth Health System. This practice opportunity offers a well-established practice with over 25 years in the community. We have a new facility and excellent staff and clinical resources. The practice has onsite laboratory, imaging, and other physician specialists. The Women's Health Pavilion is also adjacent to St. John Medical Center, a 200-bed, not-for-profit, JCAHO accredited facility, also part of the PeaceHealth System. Our community has drawn a world-class Medical Staff of 238 physicians, representing 38 specialties, serving a regional population of 150,000. EMPLOYMENT PeaceHealth offers an employment model with a very competitive salary guarantee for the first year, followed by production-based compensation base on RVU's. The Mission of PHMG is to provide service to a broad spectrum of individuals, and clinicians are held harmless for the payor mix of their patient panel. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Must exemplify the Mission and Values of PeaceHealth and PeaceHealth Medical Group. * Practice of medicine within the scope of license. * Practice of medicine within the scope of training. * Practice of medicine within the scope of credentialing. * Practice of medicine in accordance with the current standards of care. * Practice of medicine in accordance with the quality criteria adopted by the clinic. * Promotes a safety-conscious work force and maintains good housekeeping practices. * Demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients served by demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. * Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age. * Performs other duties as required or assigned. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS Required qualifications: * Active Medical Staff Membership at the primary medical center in the community the practice is located in * Other qualifications as listed in the PeaceHealth Lower Columbia Region Practitioner Employment Agreement EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS Required: * Graduate of Accredited Medical School with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). * Completion of Accredited Residency. * Board Certification in Specialty (must be obtained within three years of residency completion and keep current). * Unrestricted License to practice within the State of Washington. * Possession of Federal DEA number without restriction. WORK ENVIRONMENT Medical center environment with frequent exposure to electricity, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, infectious waste, fumes or gases, radiation; occasional exposure to laser and constant exposure to blood borne pathogens and biologicals. SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Sensory: Frequent speaking; constant hearing; constant near and far vision; frequent depth perception, peripheral vision, color accuracy, color discrimination and touch. Physical: Frequent head/neck static position, rotation, flexion and extension. Frequent torso/back static position, stooping, bending and twisting. Frequent simple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation, pinch, finger dexterity, supination/pronation, wrist flexion and ability to operate hand controls. Occasional sitting. Constant standing and walking. Frequent crouching/squatting and occasional climbing stairs and ramps. Mental: Must have the ability to learn and prioritize multiple tasks within the scope and guidelines of this position and its licensure requirements, many requiring extremely complex cognitive capabilities.
