Our client is a comprehensive mental health center offering a wide array of programs and services. They are committed to hiring the most talented individuals to deliver the finest services to our clients and customers in the Mental Health Industry. To function as the medical team representative on a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services. Essential Duties: May include, but are not limited to the following: - Maintain documentation consistent with quality assurance procedures and clinical performance standards. - Maintain up-to-date and accurate records according to agency standards. - Monitor and evaluate the quality of medical and therapeutic services provided - Provide direct psychiatric treatment for clients. - Attend committee meetings, staff meetings and inter-agency meetings as required. - Comply with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to mental health care. - Maintain medical staff privileges at designated psychiatric hospital as required. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Accept supervision from the medical director. Other Duties and Responsibilities: - Work in a multi-disciplinary setting - Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. - Operate a computer and utilize word processing and electronic record software. - Establish and maintain cooperative work relationships with those contacted in the course of work Job Requirements: Skills, Abilities and Competencies: - Principles, practices, methods and techniques of counseling, mental health services and psychiatric diagnosis and treatment - Applicable county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the provision of mental health care services Education & Licensure - Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited university with additional post-graduate training in psychiatry - DEA Certification - Colorado License to practice psychiatry - Board Certified/Eligible (with plans for certification) in General and/or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Please contact Michael Barry michael@westwoodwilshire.com Posting
