Trauma Program Manager is accountable for the development,
implementation, and evaluation of two of CCMC's programs:
Trauma and EMS. This includes, but is not limited to,
integration of the CCMC trauma service with the Hartford
Hospital trauma service in developing a Level I Trauma
Center for adults and pediatrics (The Trauma Institute).
The Manager also serves as a representative to the
Hospital Emergency Operations Committee by assisting
in the development, implementation, and evaluation
of policies and best practices in the field of emergency
preparedness related to mass casualty, trauma, and
acts of terrorism.
Must possess a BSN with a
minimum of 5 years experience in pediatric interventions
including exposure to trauma services; master's degree
preferred. Must maintain annual continuing medical
education in trauma/critical care in accordance with
American College of Surgeons (16 hrs.). Supervisory
and management skills preferred.
Must be a
licensed registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
Must
possess current Basic Life Support (BLS).
Must
successfully pass the TNCC and PALS curricula.
