Reporting to the Medical Director, the Chief of Surgery will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative and clinical operations of the Department of Surgery. We are seeking a change agent who can work to enhance the overall quality of care through process improvement and the introduction of new services. Our Client, Global Medical Solutions, a UAE-owned healthcare outsourcing and logistics firm, is preparing a competitive base compensation plan and a generous package of allowances covering housing, education, 30-days of vacation, 10 days of CME leave, and a minimum of 12 holidays. Healthcare for the physician, spouse and up to three children, is free. The successful candidate will be offered a two-year employment agreement with options for renewal. Based in Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE and the second largest city in the Emirates, the successful candidate can expect a comfortable, westernized lifestyle with access to a wide range of entertainment, sports and cultural venues. The population of Abu Dhabi is about 1.8 million. Requirements The successful candidate will hold a medical degree from an accredited medical school in the U.S., Canada or Western Europe and be board certified in the U.S. or Canada. Ten years of post-board certification experience as a clinician with an excellent reputation for clinical quality and patient safety is mandatory.
