Two
year contract employment opportunity (with option to
renew) at military medical facility in Abu Dhabi, United
Arab Emirates. This military hospital is a general,
acute care facility of approximately 360 beds. Department
of surgery includes about 10 specialty areas and has
a need currently for a hands-on general surgeon. Requirements
include medically trained and board certified in general
surgery in either the USA or Canada.
The hospital
is pursuing a commitment to improving quality and patient
safety, and to become Joint Commission International
certified. The typical work week will probably involve
less volume than what a surgeon in private practice
in North America currently experiences. The benefits

to a practicing surgeon who also has teaching and academic
interests and experience.
