Department SURGERY Job Type Full-Time Shift Type Days Shift Hours 8 Hr Shift Days Worked Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Position Profile You will demonstrate your knowledge and skill, and provide leadership for the management and coordination of quality patient care within designated patient care unit(s) on an assigned shift. Within this role, you will implement and integrate the nursing process through assignment and supervision of appropriate staff and resources in coordination and collaboration with physicians and serve as the patient care unit's expert. As a team member, you will play an important role by collaborating with others and contributing toward our mission and values. Will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room in an efficient and cost effective manner. Within this position, under the direction of the Supervisor/Director, you will provide leadership and function as a role model and resource, ensure adherence to standards in patient care practice within a multi-disciplinary care setting, supervise, coordinate, evaluate and improve the delivery and quality patient care, participate in budgetary process and fiscal accountabilities. Basic Qualifications (required) Currently licensed in the state of California as a registered nurse. AHA Basic life support certification required. Minimum Qualifications (required) Three years experience in an acute care O.R. setting. Previous Supervisory / Leadership experience. Demonstrates clinical competency and leadership capabilities. Ability to use critical thinking skills and complex problem solving. Computer skills, good communication and customer relation skills (written and verbal), time management, able to work under pressure. Preferred Qualifications BSN and CNOR preferred.
