Schedule: Monday-Friday Shift: Day shift Hours: 80 ppd Job Details: - Associates degree required GENERAL SUMMARY: Demonstrates commitment to the vision, core purpose/mission and goals of LRMC, modeling the values and culture. The Clinical Systems Analyst assesses, plans, implements and evaluates information system support needs for patient care operations according to own clinical judgment, policies, procedures, protocol and standards. As an internal consultant, the Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for system assessment, process analysis, identification of system requirements, and functional definition of planned system changes. The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for identifying and implementing information system solutions that support more efficient and effective work performance based on inherent knowledge of clinical functions and processes. The Clinical Systems Analyst develops and manages project plans for the deployment of new and/or changes to information system applications. The Clinical Systems Analyst administers system applications and serves as an educator and resource regarding system functionality. The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for functioning within scope of individual education, licensure and competence. Must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * Preferred: Proven work history with demonstrated success in team work and collaboration resulting in a series of project or program successes. * Required: Advanced level of clinical and analytical skills. Project Management skills. Presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills in conflict resolution and negotiations skills. Demonstrated skill in coaching, and mentoring others. EDUCATION: * Preferred: BSN, MSN, or BS or MS Degree in Licensed Health Discipline, MHA or MBA also desirable if Bachelors degree is in their Health Discipline. Further degree in computer science or related information systems field preferred. * Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited health discipline program and licensure in that field. Eligible professional disciplines include Nursing, Pharmacy, Radiology Technologist, Respiratory Therapist, or Medical Technologist. Other disciplines will be considered based upon IS department support needs. EXPERIENCE: * Preferred: At least one year of information management experience, or 2 years experience with an application vendor, or consulting group. Prior experience with system analysis, system administration and project implementation preferred. * Required: Minimum of 5 years acute care experience or ambulatory experience. Education program development and presentation experience required with strong public communication skills. Experience with word processing, project management, and clinical applications required. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER: * Preferred: Informatics Certification, Project Management Certification by Project Management Institute. * Required: Must possess Health Care License to practice professionally in the State of Florida or eligible for licensure.
