Obstetrics and Gynecology

Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC) is seeking a BC/BE Ob/Gyn to join the organization's medical staff leadership as Chair of the Department of OB/Gyn. Consideration will be given to subspecialties within OB/Gyn, general OB, and Maternal Fetal Medicine.

BWMC will be opening a new obstetrical service in the Fall of 2009 and is looking for a leader to develop, implement, and grow this program. The program will initially include 4 LDR's, an 18-bed postpartum unit, Level II nursery, 2 c-section rooms and a diagnostic center that is a satellite of the University of Maryland's Center for Advanced Fetal Care.

The desired candidate will provide leadership, direction, and coordination of all components of the Department. Prior administrative experience is highly desired.

This opportunity can be structured in a variety of different models; from an administrative stipend paid to a private practice physician, hospital employment, faculty appointment through an affiliation with the University of Maryland, or an independent practice with start-up assistance.
