Description: THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER AT SAN ANTONIO AND CHRISTUS SANTA ROSA-PEDIATRIC GI
The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital seek a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join their well-established pediatric gastroenterology division. In this position, you will join two pediatric gastroenterologists for an equally shared call schedule of one in three. Liver transplant emphasis would be helpful, but not required. This position includes teaching responsibilities of students and residents and provides clinical research opportunities. Requirements for this position include Board Certification in Pediatrics, completion of an ACGME approved Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship, board certification in pediatric Gastroenterology or eligibility to take the certifying exam, and eligibility to obtain a Texas Medical License. An academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio at the assistant or associate level would be provided as well as an attractive academic salary and a full and comprehensive benefits package. Christus Santa Rosa Children's Hospital is a 200+ bed facility providing care to more than 150,000 children each year. A large referral base, including most of southern Texas, promotes a busy practice and a growing institution with many opportunities.
