Description: Family Practice Opportunities in Superior, Montana
Superior, Montana -- Providence Health & Services and a private, independent, critical access hospital here are partnering in search of a Family Practice physician to serve the community. We are seeking a BE/BC FP with General Surgery experience. The a 10-bed hospital is located about an hour's drive from Missoula, where Providence operates a tertiary medical center.

Providence's main facility in western Montana is St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center in Missoula. St. Patrick is a pillar of the medical and business community in this sprawling region. The 247-bed tertiary center has been named a Top 100 Hospital by Thomson (formerly Solucient). It houses the world-renowned International Heart Institute of Montana and collaborates with the University of Montana and others to leverage scientific expertise for the benefit of patients. Providence also operates St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, a little under two hours by highway from Superior.

Superior, population 900, is a picturesque community bisected by Montana's famous Clark Fork River. It is located along I-90 about 60 road miles west of Missoula, and about 10 miles east of the Idaho border as the crow flies (or 50 miles by mountain road). This former mining outpost has a rich history and an economy that is now based on tourism and recreation as well as natural resources. With mountains and rivers in every direction, Superior offers quiet and scenery as well as easy access to Missoula (population 65,000) for big-city conveniences.
