Department: Intensive Care Unit Schedule: Full-time Shift: Night shift Hours: 7pm-7:30am - Associates degree required - Current ACLS Certification Required - Current AZ or other compact state RN license - Current BCLS/CPR Certification Required - 0-1 Year Experience Required The Registered Nurse working in ICU is responsible and accountable for assigned patients care while utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice to provide and monitor the patient's documented plan of care. • Coordinates patient care, team activities and plan of care with other healthcare team members; implements care in a knowledgeable and skillful manner. • Evaluates effectiveness of care provided by comparing patient response with observable outcomes. • Identifies and delivers initial and ongoing patient/family's education needs as an integral part of care delivery. • Initiates discharge planning based on admission assessment; makes appropriate referrals and monitors patients progress and readiness for discharge by focusing on physical/psychosocial health status assessment of patient in an ongoing, systematic manner. • Provides excellent patient care: "John C. Lincoln Always CARES for you!" program emphasizes the patient's expectation of care and helps nurses meet that expectation. Critical Care Department The Critical Care department at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital is made up of two units-the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ICU cares for trauma patients brought in through the hospital's Level 1 Trauma Center as well as medical/surgical patients. The CVICU cares for cardiovascular patients including those with MIs, open heart, CHF and medical/surgical patients. The ICU and CVICU are each 22-bed units. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital is known for its long history of innovative service to North Phoenix.
