Job Details: Physician Assistant Orthopaedic/Neurosurgical

Description: Washington Harris Group a leading government contracting employer has immediate openings for a Physician Assistant, Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox, KY.
Have been employed a minimum of one year practicing as a physician assistant within the past two years. Orthopedic/Neurosurgical/Neurology experience preferred however not required. Perform regular interface with institutional and regional referral providers to develop a robust, consistent, and efficient conduit for emergent, urgent, and routine neurosurgical referrals which will recapture high-acuity, high-cost workload throughout the entire region.

Perform screening process to diagnose and treat patients referred for neurosurgery or other telemedicine supportable care such as tele-neurology or tele-traumatic brain injury. Performing physical exams and obtaining comprehensive and problem-focused histories for neurosurgical conditions; ordering/interpreting radiology, lab and diagnostic tests; and developing/prescribing/assessing non-operative treatment. Schedule and consent patients for video tele-conference (VTC) specialty consults based on indications; prepare and forward patient documentation to consulting specialist before consulting. Complete the medical administrative tasks required for the medical board process and become familiar with all phases of Physical Disability, Profiles, Line of Duty,Investigations, and Standards for Induction, Enlistment and Retention on active duty. Participate in staff meetings and conferences as scheduled by the OIC of work site.

Requirements:
