The Department of Pathology of the Marshfield Clinic is seeking a hematopathologist to join our group of 21 pathologists. This position will encompass the full scope of hematopathology clinical services with shared sign-out of bone marrows (currently 600/year) and flow cytometry (1100 lymphoma-leukemia panels/year). There is also an active consultative service for lymph node biopsies/extra nodal lymphoid infiltrates. Ancillary diagnostic services available on-site include a broad immunohistochemical repertoire along with gene rearrangement studies by PCR and cytogenetics. The successful candidate will also play an active role in standardizing laboratory hematology and coagulation services across our system of regional center labs throughout central and northern Wisconsin. Formal teaching of staff and medical technology students is expected. Research opportunities are available through internal or external funding with support through the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation. Applicants must be board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and be board eligible or certified in hematopathology.
