seeking a BC'd Internist or Family Practitioner.
Family and Community Medicine Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Department of Family and Community Medicine, is seeking multiple board certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians to serve as faculty and to staff one of 12 hospital-based community health centers across Tarrant County. Qualified candidates must possess excellent communication, clinical, and leadership skills. The department has clinical responsibilities to UNT Health physician group and houses several divisions, including Family Medicine Residents from JPS County Hospital, Plaza Family Medicine Residents, Sports Medicine, Internal Medicine and offices of Pre-doctoral and Postdoctoral fellowships through the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Bilingual Spanish/English or other foreign language is a plus. The salary is based on experience, with full benefits as a full time state employee. We assist with credentialing and offer CME. There are variable schedules and multiple locations across the Fort Worth area, which means a lot of opportunity! We are currently recruiting for multiple John Peter Smith Community Health Centers and the Correctional Medicine Jail facility. It is required to be board certified in the respective specialty and an interest in working with students and residents is a plus. The call schedule is very light with an average of 20 patients seen per day. Depending on your level of academic interest, there may be occasional inpatient rounds at the John Peter Smith Hospital working with the Family Medicine Residents. There are also opportunities to have our TCOM medical students' precept through the clinics. Each provider will have a nurse and an M.A. to increase efficiency.
