Description: Director of Alzheimer's and Memory Assessment Center in Chicago's North Suburbs
The Department of Neurology at NorthShore University HealthSystem, a three-hospital, fully integrated healthcare organization, is seeking a Director for their Alzheimer's and Memory Assessment Center.

The Alzheimer's and Memory Assessment Center is a multi-disciplinary program based at Glenbrook Hospital. Representatives from neurology, psychiatry, neuro-psychology, geriatric internal medicine, and social work will work together to provide superior, coordinated, humanistic, and scientifically sound care of patients with Alzheimer's disease and other dementing illnesses including support systems for their families and caregivers.

The successful candidate will be board certified in Neurology and will have relevant fellowship training in order to direct the growth and expansion of diagnosis, treatment, and management of Alzheimer's and related dementia services in the communities that NorthShore serves. Candidates should have a substantial clinical research background, particularly with the NIH or other major funding organizations. NorthShore is actively participating in multicenter clinical trials, in accordance with the need for novel therapies for these conditions and the goal of NorthShore to be a regional leader in clinical trials. The research component will be supported in collaboration with NorthShore University HealthSystem Research Institute. Based upon NIH awards, NorthShore ranked #1 in the State of Illinois and #10 in the United States among multi-specialty independent research hospitals. Over 30 NorthShore researchers receive million dollar NIH grants.

NorthShore University HealthSystem is the principal teaching affiliate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. This is a non-tenured position with the rank to be determined by the candidate's qualifications.
