Ultrasonographer
Regular Full time
BC Children's Hospital
Vancouver, BC

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ultrasonographer to report to the Supervisor (reporting to a supervisor doesn't really seem like something that should be featured) and handle ultrasound technical duties including preparing and explaining procedures to patients, performing diagnostic scans, and gathering and reviewing clinical history and results from diagnostic tests. You will also be responsible for checking and reviewing examinations with Radiologists, assisting with related procedures, and dealing with equipment relevant to this role. Participation in the student program and the department in-service program will be expected.

You have successfully completed a recognized course in diagnostic ultrasound and have current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists and the British Columbia Ultrasound Society. One year's recent related experience in ultrasound is preferred together with current CPR certification. Your ability to work effectively with others is supported by strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly as they relate to working with pediatric populations. Strong organizational and technical abilities will round out your qualifications.
