Critical Care/Pulmonology
A board certified/eligible
Critical Care & Pulmonary Medicine physician is
needed to join the Critical Care team at Franciscan
Skemp Healthcare-Mayo Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
This intensivist will help staff a 16-bed combined
medical-surgical ICU/CCU, which will include scheduled
shifts shared initially with two other Critical Care
specialists. The practice will also include inpatient/outpatient
Pulmonary Medicine consults.

part of Mayo Health System, with more than 200 physicians/associate
providers, serving a primary care population base of
240,000. In addition to its main clinic/hospital in
La Crosse, Franciscan Skemp Healthcare has two other
small community hospitals in WI and eleven other clinics
located in WI, MN and IA within a 60-mile radius of
La Crosse.
The Medical Center in La Crosse has
250 beds. The Emergency Medical & Trauma Center
(Level III) is staffed 24 hours by Emergency Medicine
physicians, and there is also a 24-hour Hospitalist
Service. A cardiac cath lab as well as full diagnostic
radiology and laboratory services are available. The
clinic facility is connected to the hospital. A Center
for Advanced Medicine & Surgery (CAMS) houses new
state-of-the-art OR suites, Day Surgery Unit and
a
comprehensive Cancer Center, including chemotherapy
and radiation oncology.
