POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The CTOR Department at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center plays a critical role within the Cardiac Service Line of Excellence supporting it's Heart & Lung Institute, the only stand-alone lung transplant center in the Nation. The CTOR currently has seven surgical suites conducting 200 congenital heart cases, 350 thoracic and 175 adult heart cases. The current staffing ratio for these cases includes two RN circulators, a cardiothoracic scrub technician, and Physician's Assistant. Additional staff includes a clinical monitoring technical and staff perfusion.

The hours of operation for the department are from 6:30 am to 7pm. Available shifts vary depending on the need of the unit; participation in a call rotation covering evening and night hours as well as weekends shifts.

REQUIREMENTS:
The successful RN candidate must be able to circulate complex pediatric/congenital and adult cardiovascular and thoracic cases having knowledge in all phases of the surgical process with two years of RN experience preferred.
