POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Couplet Care area consists of a 43-bed unit that provides assessment, preventive care and treatment for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of postpartum mothers and their babies. Additionally, our staff provides care to newborns who require higher levels of observation and monitoring in our 11-bed Continuing Care Nursery. Nurse-to patient-ratios vary from 1:6-8 for routine care and 1:3-4 for newborns who require continuing care.

The successfull Registered Nurses (RN) will coordinate, supervise and implement patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.
