POSITION REQUIREMENTS St. Joseph's Hospital is looking for Nurse Education Specialists to work with departments to determine education support needs. Qualified candidates will be responsible for competency assessment and education for new and experienced staff as well as providing curriculum development, research and publication assistance. The Adult Cardiothoracic ICU Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center plays a critical role within the Cardiac and Thoracic Service Line of Excellence supporting it’s “Heart & Lung Institute”, the only stand-alone lung transplant center in the Nation. Committed to the highest level of patient satisfaction, our CICU unit is a dedicated 16-bed unit that supports St. Joseph’s adult cardiac, vascular and thoracic post surgical patients and has a nurse to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1. REQUIREMENTS: Educational Requirements: - Undergraduate (BA/BS) required. - Masters degree and certification in area of specialty preferred. Experience Requirements: - Five years clinical experience in clinical area of expertise. License/Registration/Certification: - AZ RN license or compact state. BCLS/ACLS and/or PALS based on clinical unit.
