Mount Sinai Medical
Center and Heart Institute, Miami's largest, private,
independent, not-for-profit teaching hospital with
over 935 beds, 26 operating suites, and 900+ physicians
including over 120 cardiologists, announces an excellent
opportunity for a new Chief of Cardiology.
Mount Sinai is seeking a nationally regarded, interventional
cardiologist to lead this large department. This new
Chief will be involved in the identification and acquisition
of new technologies, evaluate growth opportunities
for fellowship programs, lead recruitment efforts for
new faculty, build clinical research programs and advance
the academic mission of the Division.
Candidates
for the position of Chief of Cardiology will need to
have a successful track record of program development,
a commitment to high standards for quality and patient
safety, a collaborative leadership style, and academic
stature. Experience with and understanding of the private
practice cardiologist is important. Candidates should
be at or above the level of Associate Professor.
