Division Head - Vascular Surgery - University
of Chicago Affiliate - Chicago's North Suburbs

University HealthSystem, the principle teaching affiliate
of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine,
is seeking a full-time, outstanding vascular surgeon
to head its Division of Vascular Surgery. A prerequisite
for this position is the successful completion of a
vascular surgery fellowship with board certification
through ABS. We seek a candidate with outstanding leadership
skills and at least five years of vascular experience
in an institution associated with an academic medical
center. The successful candidate must also have extensive
endovascular skills including EVAR and carotid artery
stenting skills.
The position includes clinical
care of vascular patients, administrative duties of
the Division of Vascular Surgery, education of medical
students and residents, and clinical research. An opportunity
to combine basic research and clinical activities exists.
Additionally, the division head will be expected to
develop a vascular surgery fellowship program in conjunction
with The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
This is an academic position and the division head
will be proposed for a faculty appointment.
