The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital seek an additional pediatric pulmonologist at the rank of assistant or associate professor. In this position, you will join a growing division of four pediatric pulmonologists. We have expanded our outpatient program and have a regional pediatric sleep center, the only sleep center in San Antonio solely for children. Housed at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital, the Thoracic Institute, home of the vertical expandable prosthetic titanium rib (VEPTR), serves children from around the world with skeletal deformities and thoracic insufficiency syndromes. The division supports a regional cystic fibrosis center, as well as serving as the major provider of pediatric respiratory care to the population of southern Texas. CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital is a 200+ bed facility providing care to more than 150,000 children each year. The selected individual will have demonstrated strength in academic pediatric pulmonary medicine insofar as delivery of clinical care and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Expertise in pediatric bronchoscopy required. Requirements include board certification in pediatrics, completion of an ACGME approved pediatric pulmonary fellowship, board certification in pediatric pulmonology or eligibility to take the certifying exam, and eligibility to obtain a Texas medical license.
