Kadlec Medical Center seeks an experienced physician-leader to serve as Medical Director, Hospitalist Program. The Medical Director will have a leadership role in directing both day-to-day operations and long term development of the hospitalist program and will be responsible for the overall quality of the program.

The Medical Director will be a visible, engaging and empowering physician who will assist the organization in implementing operational and clinical effectiveness to ensure that current and future strategies are realized. This position requires a physician-leader with approximately two years of leadership experience with a proven track record of clinical excellence and demonstrated skills in operations, change management, professional relationship skills and the highest clinical quality standards.

Currently, there are eight hospitalists serving the inpatient units of 188-bed Kadlec Medical Center. More than 50 primary care physicians and more than 20 specialists participate in the hospitalist program. Due to the popularity of the program, the program is expected to expand to include eight additional hospitalists.

The Medical Center is the largest hospital in the Tri-Cities and offers the widest range of services including open heart and neurological surgery with a medical staff of approximately 200 physicians. The Medical Center also has the only neonatal intensive care unit in the area as well as an adult and pediatric hospitalist program and an ICU staffed with intensivists. Kadlec Medical Center has experienced significant growth over the past several years with the admissions increasing more than 60 percent over that timeframe.

Kadlec Medical Center just completed a $71 million expansion program which includes a 36-bed Clinical Decision unit, 10 new operating rooms and a new 28 bed Intermediate Care Unit.
