Description:
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
at the University of Pittsburgh offers a fully funded
one-year fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery.
The fully accredited fellowship is designed to produce highly trained surgeons preparing them for a full-time academic career, or to allow them to enter a position at a cleft and craniofacial center, which has a significant need for this experience. The fellow will have a surgical experience in pediatric adolescent, and adult congenital craniofacial, primary and secondary cleft, orthognathic, reconstructive, esthetic, implant, and craniofacial trauma surgery. Research opportunities in the areas of molecular genetics, cranial suture biology, pediatric trauma, cleft, and congenital craniofacial anomalies are also available as a critical component to the fellowship program.
